All About Saria

(OOC: I'm going to let Saria introduce herself now. The rest of this blog will be written in her perspective, unless I need to break character, for whatever reason)

Hello there. Welcome to my blog. Glad you could make it here. Let me tell you all about myself.

My name is Saria Adelah Ahmed. I am currently 12 years old, and I live in Wazir Akbhar Khan, Kabul, with my parents, Mahmood and Tanya Ahmed, and my brother, Assef. My mother is German and my father Pashtun.

I have blonde hair, and blue eyes. My skin is a few shades paler than that of the average Afghan child, due to my German ancestry. Even though I am 12, I am physically very short for my age, and at first glance, you would probably think that I was 8 or 9. Do NOT under any circumstances make reference to my height, or mock me about it. It won't be very pretty for you if you do.

I live in a large compound in Wazir Akbhar Khan, surrounded by a large swimming pool, volley ball nets, and beautiful palm trees. My father is an airline pilot, and my mother a stay at home housewife. My brother is in his second last year of High school, and will be graduating when he turns 18 next year. I am currently in 6th Grade, and will be attending high school in a few years.

I am very close to my brother, Assef, and would consider him to be my best friend. He is my world to me, and I would do anything to ensure his safety and happiness. This whole world is expendable to me. I could throw any man, woman or child out like yesterday's garbage and it wouldn't bother me one bit. Assef is the one exception to this rule. We are a team, and if you fuck around with us, you will suffer greatly.

My dream in life is to eliminate all Hazara people (if indeed they even deserve to be called people) from Afghanistan. These... creatures, are the scum of the Earth and do not deserve to live. I want the world to be perfect for myself and my older brother. I will write more about this as my life progresses.

I will write weekly with updates of my life, and any chapter updates for you.

Introduction

This blog is dedicated to the musings of my original character Saria Ahmed, the protagonist/antagonist of my Kite Runner fanfiction, Devil with the Angel's Eyes. She was created when I became bored of reading fanfictions based simply around Amir rescuing Hassan.  While I admit these stories are brilliant, and very thought provoking, I simply wanted to write something a little different, and thus, I created Saria and her world.

Saria is the younger sister of Khaled Hosseini's Assef, the sociopathic, Hitler-loving bully who rapes Hassan in the aforementioned author's novel. She is just as fierce, and violent as her older brother, but is connected to him with that strong love they share for one another. Saria could be classified as a 'sociopath' one who takes pleasure in the misery of others, yet who also is fiercely protective of those she loves.

Why did I choose Kite Runner as the basis for my fanfiction?

Well. To put it simply, I fell in love with the story. How often do you read a book that makes you think, that transports you to another world, another country? I lived these characters lives, I felt their emotions, I loved, hated, and cried with them. Hosseini was able to create a world in which I not only learned about Afghanistans history, but I actually ENJOYED doing it. Not many stories do this for me.

I do not own the Kite Runner. Any characters, settings, words or ideas used in the book are copyrighted by Khaled Hosseini.  No monitary gain is being made via the publication of this blog, not the writing of the fanfiction.

Saria Ahmed, Adia, Masood, Ahtrai, and any characters and plot devices not found in Hosseini's original work are owned by me.
